Frontier Middle School hosted their first Bald for Bucks event this year and raised $21,202.12, more than four times their original goal of $5,000! Both the students and teachers we’re surprised and overwhelmed by all the support they received from the local community.

The school hosted a special assembly for each grade – 6th, 7th and 8th – and had over 40 students and teachers snip, clip or shave their heads for cancer cures.

In addition to shaving and cutting, colorful hair extensions were available for students to purchase to show their support for Goin’ Bald for Bucks. Each student could pick extensions that matched a cancer awareness color that meant something to them. Not only were the extensions a big hit, but their colorful ‘dos helped raise awareness for many different forms of cancer.

We’re so grateful to Frontier Middle’s event coordinator, Laura Sano Klein, and all the Bald for Bucks participants for their hard work this school year.
