Today’s the day. You’ll be snipping, clipping or shaving your way to cancer cures in front of the whole school! When you walk into the auditorium, you see the bleachers filling up with your classmates. You wave to your friends! Then, it’s your turn. You sit in the chair and as you look up into the crowd, you see your best friends cheering for you and holding up posters to root you on. As the hairstylist turns on the clippers, you’re not so nervous anymore.
Time to Get Craftin'
Whether you or your friend is taking the Bald for Bucks challenge, everyone needs some encouragement! Making a poster with an inspirational message is the perfect way to show your support for fellow participants or for the students in your school Goin’ Bald.
Before you kick off your poster-making party, you’re going to need a few supplies. This is a great time to get creative! Here are some suggestions:
- Poster board (to cut) or colorful construction paper
- Markers or paint
- Letter stencils (optional)
- Glitter and stickers (optional)
Showing support for your fellow participants and students is one of the best ways to make help make your school’s Bald for Bucks event a success. Plus, it feels good when we cheer each other on! We can’t wait to see what posters you create. Don’t forget to share them – post a picture to social media and make sure to use #baldforbucks.
